My Musical Heroes

I´m watching the Polar Music Prize ceremony right now. Ennio Morricone is a musical hero and so is Björk. They were both very moved as they received their prizes. And since I am so soft, so did I :)

I actually made a song last year with Bren Huston in which we added a sample from The Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone. It´s our tribute to him!

Got a nasty habit called Music

This last week has been very inspirational due to my nasty little habit called music.
Starting with rain, mud and  Rock ‘n’ Roll at Sonisphere Festival in Stockholm last Saturday I then paid Stockholm Kulturfestival (Stockholm Festival of Culture…) a visit on Tuesday. Wednesday to Friday was spent in the studio finishing two new tracks for Josefina Ohlsson. All combined, a very happy and rewarding week of music.

I´ve been spending a week deep down in the forests of Skåne. Been catching my breath after a hysterical but fun period of writing and studio sessions. Didn´t even notice how tired I was untill we came here. I have a couple of days left until I return to Stockholm but I´m ready though totally reloaded and eager to get back to work!

Hot, hot, hot

Sweden is HOT right now! It´s nothing but sun and the temperature is way above 80 everyday.
I Love It!

The time is 11pm and the temperature is 26C (79F), outside that is… in here its about 30C (86F) and I am desperatly trying to focus on writing lyrics.
It´s a hard job but someone´s got to do it! ;)
Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

Red Little Head banging Devil

I´m quite  self secure when it comes to my ability to write music. BUT, when it comes to music I write for myself I´m almost never  satisfied. I hate that red little devil banging my hed screaming:
“This ain´t good enough, this aint good enough, this ain´t good enooooough!!!”

I imagine this is what he looks like…

What´s up with that! It´s not just good enough, it´s great! :)
Well, well, well, now that I´ve boosted myself a bit I better get back to work.

Fabulous Family & Friends

Had some guests visiting this past weekend and today I met my very dear friend Åsa and her baby girl Nora for some catching up and a latte. I just love my fabulous family & friends. Having sad that you might understand why I haven´t been spending as much time as I had hoped to finish the two songs we´re working on for tomorrows recording session with Jimmy. Well, well the time is now 7.20pm and I´ve got all night :)

Thank You

Thank You all for your massive support the last couple of weeks voting for Josefina Ohlsson and our song I´ve been Chosen. We got the highest score from the people but we didn´t win after the jury had their saying. Anyway, we had a blast in Studio 4 together with the other finalists and congratulate 11Nights and wish them luck in the future!
Josefina is now on a very deserved brake and I would love to join her if I could… but we have a fun, busy week ahead. Today we´re off to our producer to begin the process of four new songs. And this afternoon we have a second meeting in a nother studio, recording.
